I chose this product because I have been using Klein tools for many years and I trust their quality. In about 20 attempts, after carefully reading and following the instructions, I haven't had a single successful chase. I started with a socket and switch combination in the same room as the switch box. I got a clear positive switch reading, turned it off and the light stayed on. This circuit finder works really really well. You have to follow the instructions that come with it and it pointed out the circuit breaker exactly. As per the instructions, and many people here have already said so, plug in the signal transmitter box (either plug it into an outlet, or if you bought a lightbulb adapter plug it into the adapter and then take out the lightbulb and screw the transmitter with the lamp adapter on it) to the desired location.
