This item would have been 5 stars if there weren't two major issues: 1. Make sure the tip of the oil level gauge is securely attached to the flexible cable before use. It came off at the first oil check when wiping with a rag. Luckily I was able to put it back on and everything has been fine so far. For reliable fixation, it should be welded. I've read of people having to remove the tip while removing the oil pan from the engine.2. Grip Grip - Billet Aluminum. Looks good, but unlike the original plastic probe handle, this one will burn your hand without a rag or other protection. just know Aside from those two issues, the drilled tip gives a GREAT indication of the oil level. A MUST for those Oil Burning Mini Coopers. But the above issues really need to be addressed.
