These metal rulers do their job perfectly. I'll use them for cutting straight edges as long as user error isn't due to misalignment, which is always possible! Unlike the plastic or wooden versions, they don't cut or shave the ends as the blade moves along the edge to get the straight edge you need. Perfect for all crafts, art projects and DIY projects and yes I am sure they can be used professionally but that is currently beyond my ability.
