Simply WOW!: Amplifier

I almost bought a FOSI Analog. At the last minute I looked again for an amplifier on this chipset. Obviously, these are the SAME MODULES with two key differences. This is a few dollars cheaper than FOSI, but more importantly, it includes a 24V/6A power supply. The FOSI device includes a 19V/5A power supply. Upgrading to 24V/6A is optional from FOSI and costs an additional $30! We could talk like 2 packs of cigarettes. The power supply is actually bigger! This works great because the PS can be hidden and you are left with this tiny block to amplify the sound. As an amp, I'm shocked. For something so small, it's just amazing. I'll say yes, it gets loud and with that horsepower it probably lives up to its specs. I'm replacing a Carver amp that was about the same RMS value. I must say that this device works very well at low and rather high volumes. It's also starting to sound a bit strained. But I'm coming from the Carver amp (channel 1 out). Carvers are known for their headroom and I'm guessing this amp has a lot less headroom. So maybe not an entirely fair comparison, but at least a good reference for those familiar with stereo systems. I want to express how happy I am with this purchase. I have owned many stereos over the years. This little device will make you smile no matter who you are. I would give 10 stars if I could!
