I purchased this windshield mount to replace my 5 year old mount which came with a standard sized radar detector. During the first 10 miles of use, the mount failed to hold the weight of my detector in a horizontal position, and after many attempts to adjust the hand-tight knob, just as I passed a small bump in the road, the mount failed to hold the device level. .I gave 1 star because the suction cup is great on the windshield, but maybe it wouldn't help if I could use it for more than a few minutes,
