Yes, it works with Mac OSX with the right cable.

Initially I had many problems connecting to my Mac running Mojave. I've tried all the instructions here that suggest installing new drivers. Everything turned out to be unnecessary. CABLE was the culprit! After spending a whole day trying to get it to work, I came across a post on the Arduino forums that said some micro USB cables are only connected for charging and no data pins are connected. None of the micro-USB cables I had worked, and I realized that yes, I had all of them because they were included with other charging devices. So I found an old box of cables in the garage, an old Nokia Micro USB and BAM cable, now my board turned up in the connector! So if you're having trouble connecting to your Mac, you might be using a cheap cable that doesn't have data pins attached. Mine is working great now, and I've used it to create a very cool project that does exactly what it's supposed to. I am very happy. :)
