Review on HICTOP Upgrades Flexible Textured Printers by Jerome Pritchard

Rough surface works great!

This bed goes well with my Ender 3 V2 with a few caveats. 1) Printed parts have a rougher texture than I'm used to. On larger pieces, like the phone case pictured, the texture is quite pleasing, but on smaller pieces, like the disc pictured, the rough finish looks out of place. 2.) There are no holes in the magnet base to remove screws to level the bed. If you ever need to remove these screws, although this is rarely the case, you will either have to cut holes in the magnet material or remove the magnet base entirely, which can be tricky as the glue is quite strong! My suggestion is to punch access holes in the magnet base before installing it on the heated bed. Aside from those two things that don't really matter, the PEI bed works fantastic. A little more "flattening" is required for the first layer, but once you get to the thickness of the first layer the prints will adhere very well when the bed is hot and literally fall off the bed when it cools down! I would recommend it as a standard platform upgrade for any printer that doesn't already have a PEI canvas.
