I would have liked more detailed instructions. I cleaned the wire, ran the car to heat the exhaust, then turned it off and applied. My appliqué was in the folds near the muffler, leaving a decent amount of metal to wrap around. I turned on a small electric heater for a few hours after applying and also did a few passes with the heat gun. Then I left it on overnight and my results were very good. After a day of riding I reapplied a protective varnish to fill in some of the stretch cracks, heated and let dry for a few hours and it all holds up. I don't think I had to reapply but my repair was a bit thick and I figured why not. To measure drying time, I tested by using a spatula cartridge and subjecting it to heat to get an idea of drying time. It was a very useful simple test. Don't skip heating, it definitely needs to be heated to harden.
