This device is exactly what I wanted and needed. But after recording several hours of video, I quickly found that only half of the files had sound. I tried replacing the SD card with a flash drive and got similar results, but this time I had audio with no video. I needed the ability to write directly to a flash drive or SD card without a computer, otherwise I would have just bought Elgato. Another thing worth mentioning is that the PS3 is pictured alongside the Xbox 360 with HDMI cable, this Playstation 3 cannot connect to this device via HDMI due to anti-piracy measures. I haven't tested this on my PS4, but it's clearly false advertising.
