Review on KEEN Unisex-Child Chandler CNX Sneaker: Lightweight and Durable Footwear for Active Kids by Ananta Crowley

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Don't walk away, THIN sole! Ouch.

I'm small, 5'10"-5'5" so child size 4 is perfect for me. My son had 4 pairs of Keens so I decided to try these to replace my 17 year old campers. Unfortunately they don't fit me. . Every time you flex your foot to take a step, this metal rivet also flexes and digs into the top of your toe joint. OW.2) The outsole is insanely thin. I tried on shoes in the kitchen where there is grout on the tiles. I felt every grout line! It's so strange, even flip flops have thicker soles than these. If you walked on gravel in it? OW.3) The material of the insole is rubbery, a bit like a water shoe, rather than fabric. It feels weird like the socks are too sticky inside. I really wanted to love them, the color is amazing and I know Keens make a good product but I didn't like these. The writing is very detailed because I think it would be hard for a child to articulate why trying to tell you that doesn't make them feel so good. And I see people talking about bungee laces, they're thinner than the other Keens my son has had.

Pros
  • Shaft size does not approximate arch of foot
Cons
  • Not sure
