Review on πŸŽƒ Native Pet Organic Pumpkin for Dogs: All-Natural Fiber Solution - Prevent Waste with Canned Pumpkin Alternative! by Shannon Smith

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Works in scope of: Wet

My dog had a very difficult time with bowel movements. She vacillates between constipation and diarrhea, although most of the time it's constipation, and often strains for a while just to have some BM. This pumpkin powder was one of the remedies I tried to see if it would help soften her stools (also tried a stool softener called stool softener but it seems to drive her into diarrhea). I think it helped. She weighs about 14 pounds and we started giving her 1 teaspoon a day. We mixed the powder directly into her wet food (pie consistency) instead of mixing it separately with water and she ate it all. Your bowel movements seem a little lighter now and the bowel movements aren't as hard. Best of all, it doesn't take them to the extreme of diarrhea. It also came with a spoon/spoon which I only recently discovered coming out of the bottom of the tin after we were about halfway done. So, FYI, the shovel exists; Dig it up to use when you open the jar for the first time! Since finding it, I've increased it to half a scoop twice a day. As for taste. It always amuses me when I have to give stars to the taste of dog food. Technically it's just pumpkin powder, but I haven't tried it myself. The smell is not too pumpkiny, but not unpleasant either. We've tried canned pumpkin before, but my dog refused to eat anything the pureed pumpkin touched, so this must taste good/better?
