Review on 🔌 ACDelco Gold 335-1136 Alternator: Premium Performance and Reliability by Jason Wright

Alternator was cheaper and better quality than other stores and online stores. Will be updated if it stops working properly. Notice to Mazda Tribute / Ford Escape owners. Your setup will be a pain. Do not follow Ford instructions when replacing a tyre/brake/passenger hub/constant velocity joint/frame/etc. remove if you don't like it. Lift it up, disconnect the connectors/power from the alternator, remove the intake manifold on top of the engine (including the EGR valve which is rigid). If necessary, disconnect any electrical harnesses to make room, then secure the generator along the firewall. It's barely enough space and it saves you a few hours without a side entrance. Do not mess with the exhaust manifold bolts near the alternator or they may break due to overheating in the block. *EDIT* I tried removing the exhaust manifold. to give more space! leading to the discovery that bolts in the engine head can break off. I was able to drill and knock them out with quite a bit of penetrating lube, time, elbow lube and broken knuckles. I don't know if the exhaust manifold needs to be removed to have enough clearance as I removed it first before attempting to remove the alternator along the firewall, but first check your access to the three alternator mounting bolts. Get some socket extensions and gussets/pivots to smack them in the right direction. MUCH LUCK. Also, it's been 6 months and it's still working fine. The initial problem was the alternator, but the battery soon had to be replaced. He was a few years old and the old generator probably finished him off.
