I was hesitant at first because my 2 year old German Shepherd chewed it whole out of its last cage (airline approved, expensive thing). He doesn't come out and even stopped trying and bit off his first piece of strong metal. The only potential downside is that the bottom of the box has holes in it, which bothered my dog at first (kind of like a cattle keeper effect), but he's gotten used to it and is fine now. Overall, I recommend this to anyone with an escape artist. Also in reference to previous reviews - it now comes with a couple of small carabiners that attach to locking bars to prevent opening - definitely works for me (wouldn't work without them).
