Looking back they work exactly how you think which is not very good. Remember when you were a kid playing snowballs with wool gloves, after about 30 minutes your gloves froze and stopped working, well, same goes for them. So my advice is: use ski gloves for snowball fights, chains for driving in the snow. Facts: I used them once while driving 30 miles at about 25 mph in a big storm. - 2 of 4 socks fell off while driving, 2 that were still on fell off while parking, they are torn and unusable. They are frozen while moving. The fit was poor and produced a very loud bang, like a drum. Note. Before writing this review I contacted the seller to make sure I bought the right size. So if you have a Ford Explorer with P255/50R20s tyres, you've been warned.
