I chose this particular reader after much research and comparison. Basically, I wanted something for my old Mercedes that could be used for other cars in the family. I'm tired of paying over $500 to visit a mechanic (magically any problem, no matter how big or small, costs about the same to fix, hmmm suspicious). It's been an amazing investment. I no longer have to go to a mechanic for most problems. I can find out the codes and get the parts I need myself. If it's a bit difficult, I can delegate the work to a mechanic. I recently encountered an issue that arose the day after I took the car from the mechanic. After coughing up over $900, I refused to pick it up because of course I would have to pay more to fix it. Well, thanks to this device, I realized that it was a small hose that was being pulled from its place. I put it back in, erased the code and it never came back. I can see myself saving thousands by doing this in the end. I only wish I had remembered to get it sooner.
