Review on 🔧 Dorman 419-123 Automatic Belt Tensioner: Enhanced Functionality and Reliability by Jeremy Gaines

So far, so good. Works fine on my Pontiac Vibe and I put on a new belt to complete the job. It definitely took a lot more effort to loosen the tensioner to mount the new belt. The annoying chattering at the start is gone now and hopefully stays that way. The item looks and fits OEM. There are no installation problems. For those who don't already know, you MUST remove the 3 bolts holding the engine mount to the body, jack up the oil pan with a piece of wood and jack up the engine 1/2 to 1 inch. Space to remove the large 17mm thru-bolt. Weird design but it wasn't difficult to get everything done and I had it all done in under an hour.
