I got this camera because it rotates 360 degrees and I wanted to see our entire backyard as well as as much of our patio and deck as possible. I like being able to pan through the whole garden. We are in the process of renovating the pool and it will be nice to see when the pool guys come and go and how much work they do while they are here. It's also nice to see my child's play area in case I need to run in for a second, I know it's safe behind the gate and away from the pool. The assembly instructions could have been more detailed. It took me about an hour to figure it out because the pieces they explained were already put together instead of being separated and it really blew me away. A solar charger is also a must for this camera. The one on our porch doesn't get enough sunlight and dies every 6 days. I also recommend a micro SD card through a cloud service. I have the cloud on all but two and the micro SD is much easier to navigate. Overall I would recommend this camera for your needs.
