Shaker works well but no lid

Years ago I bought several Pampered Chef sugar and flour shakers. I loved it. I keep flour in one and powdered sugar in the other and always have it ready when I need it. Pampered Chef shakers come with those nice plastic lids that fit over the strainer so you can close it when you're done. When the lid on one of my Pampered Chef shakers broke, I was looking for a replacement. I was keen to order from Revain as I usually get great delivery times with my Prime account. I thought the Norpro 199 Sugar and Flour Shaker would be right for me. I didn't know that the Norpro shaker didn't have a lid until it was delivered. The shaker works well if you only fill it when you need to use it and then wash it every time you use it. It just isn't good enough for me after enjoying the convenience of a Pampered Chef shaker. I've put the Norpro shaker in storage and maybe one day I'll give it to Goodwill. I ordered a new Pampered Chef shaker and am much happier. I really wouldn't recommend the Norpro Shaker. I don't understand why they didn't do a cover for it. ** I'm not (and never have been) a Pampered Chef and don't know anyone who is. I had to place an order on Pampered Chef's website when I bought their new shaker. I really think they make the shaker better just because of the lid. I'd love to see Norpro tweak it and add a lid to their product to make it easier for me to buy a replacement next time I need one. While I prefer the Pampered Chef shaker because of the lid, I don't like their prices. I only buy Pampered Chef when there isn't a decent alternative available elsewhere.
