An additional paper tray is required.

I bought a Brother MFC-L8900 CDW for my home office and it only came with one tray. Since I needed a second tray for duplex printing, I bought it after knowing which tray would work best. It was easy to install after reading the instructions that came with it and the instructions that came with the printer. It works great, fits perfectly underneath and is the same length as the printer itself.
