My 2005 Dodge Ram OE The alarm wouldn't go off no matter how hard I tried, the 4 way turn signals kept flashing and the horn kept beeping. I didn't have a key fob for my truck, I didn't get one when I bought a used truck. I wanted to take my car to a dealership and have it fixed. I just found this out on a whim to see what I could do, maybe just buy a cheap key fob and have the dealer program it into the truck. But it came with a programmer that you plug into the OBDII port and after a few button presses IT WORKS. And thanks to that, I now have a really working key fob that I can use to remotely lock and unlock my truck. I didn't need an old fob or electronic key, it was programmed without it.
