It worked for a task I bought for

. So far I am very satisfied with this device. I'm not techy but after playing with it for a few days I was able to find a PID that measures the Cam Retard on my 99 GMC k2500 5.7L. I was able to rotate my distributor to get a reading between 0 and -2 and get rid of the P1345 code. Now that I've figured it out, I can do it again on my 98 GMC C3500 with 5.7L too. I'll be playing with it some more in the near future to see if I can identify the problem with my 2001 Silverado 1500 4.8L because it seems like the ECU forgot how to idle and has a new throttle position sensor not helped. I'm not an auto mechanic, so it might seem silly to spend so much money on a tool that doesn't make me money, but I was an airplane mechanic and I like turning a wrench every now and then. .I'm sure there are so many features in this device that I'll never use, but damn I'll google as much as I can so I can learn. I found out that this device has a feature for auto repair shops to enter tickets/work orders for a vehicle and it took me a few minutes to figure out how to scan a vehicle without entering this information. If I can understand that, then so can you! I have updated all the cars my immediate and extended family has. I gave it 3 stars for "easy to use" because I don't like computers and computers aren't like me. If you are good with computers, you can rate it 5 stars.

Pros
  • . That is amazing.
Cons
  • . Some errors.
