Review on SGEYR 4K@60Hz 5X1 HDMI Switch - 5 Port HDR IR Remote, 2.0 HDCP 2.2, Full HD/3D Compatible With //DVD///Projector by David Baer

I use this to input 5 HDMI devices into my TV. It has a cord to allow powering with 5V. When you power it, it activates the auto-scan function: it will scan all channels periodically and if you are watching something, it will black out during the scan; this is very annoying. The device will work WITHOUT the 5V power and then it will not auto-scan and will stay on the channel you've selected. This is the best way to connect it (Note: if some other HDMI device is turned ON, it will jump to that input. Just leave all other HDMI devices OFF). It works very well, though, and passes very good video and audio. I recommend it, especially since it is a good price. Since the vendor doesn't state in the instructions about the auto-scan and how to defeat it, I am giving it only 4 stars. Actually, though, it would otherwise be 5 stars.29 December 2019 update: It doesn't work without power for all channels. Sorry for the confusion.2
