This is a very nice Martingale collar! First, I've had trouble finding the style of Martingale collar around here that uses chain for the tightening loop. A lot seem to use nylon strap for that as well now, and while it will tighten fine when the dog tugs on the leash, the strap-style ones do not always loosen again when the tension comes off.The chain-style collars work as intended, so I was happy to find this. In addition, it was constructed with both a heavier strap than I'd expected (and nicely padded as well) and also a good, strong loop of chain with a sturdy ring to fasten the leash to. I got the medium, which, like the larger sizes, uses a the sturdier materials; I can't speak for the small, which is constructed of a narrower strap. Nothing wimpy about this collar, and it should last for years.If you are looking for Martingale collars, I can highly recommend this one. I just wish it came in more colors instead of just black.
