Other reviewers are right. They're not as durable as 6 mil plastic, but they're a step ahead of cheap bags. So the exercise goes like this: Line a bucket with it, pour in about half a liter of cat litter, let it float, then add about half a cup of lye (for stronger content and for disinfection) and then shake the bucket back and forth (not up and down ) until the contents have hardened. Never dispose of liquid waste in public waste bins or rubbish bins as it poses a health risk to the poor who must dispose of it. Some people also bag unflavored Knox gelatin. It turns things into a solid gel. I don't think the maker of these bags condones this use, but remember that we are all trying to protect our own health and the health of the communities we interact with. Happy camping!
