I still can't decide if I like it or not. I bought a 2011 Ford Ranger 4.0 V6 that already had a small, cheap, and dirty cone filter with a stock intake manifold. I didn't like it there. They also installed a throttle body gasket, so there was always that annoying high-pitched whine. Well now with this new K&N air intake it makes a high pitched sound but with a slightly more pleasant tone along with the air intake noise. I think I can take it better. I notice a slight difference in my truck's acceleration, when I look at the tachometer it seems like all the transmission gears are balanced. It also makes my exhaust stronger and deeper. Slightly high price for all that. However, it is easy to install and comes with simple instructions. I'm still not quite sure if I need a melody or something or if it was worth it.
