I needed to cut two holes for a 4.5 inch ceramic shower tile and didn't want to spend $60 on a hole saw. I tried using a rotating blade but it broke two tiles in half. I tried this drill not expecting it to work well for the price. I was glad to be wrong! The bore is crisp, clean and doesn't require much effort. Prize!Note: First I carved a template out of 2x6 wood. Then I applied some plumbing around the cut and clamped the wood in place. I flooded the area with water and began drilling relatively slowly, using light to medium pressure. It worked great. !
