Review on πŸ‘‘ Teva Women's Olowahu Flip Flop - Athletic Shoes for Women by Jason Winkfield

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Very narrow shoes, uncomfortable fit and poor strap placement.

TL;DR: Very uncomfortable fit - the straps do not match and are cut very tight. I really wanted to like them because they are so cute and look so comfy but I can't help but wear them. I walked around the house for about 30 minutes and already felt chafing and discomfort. They look very comfortable, but the pair I received had spaghetti straps that just weren't proportionate. One was so tight it cut - the one closest to the front of the foot, crossing the outside of the foot to the point between the big toe and the second toe. The strap on the inside of the foot through the big toe to the same point was loose and had some slack. I have a slightly wide but otherwise normal foot - I wear a standard size 11B (no wide shoes) regardless of shoe type or style, unless I wear a 10 in flats or moccasins which stretch. I can comfortably wear a $5 all-in-one shoe from the big stores and have no foot problems. I think they should be cheap because the quality just isn't there. It's like they were made by someone who doesn't actually wear them and has never tried them on. They're just carelessly cut. I'm not sure what your foot needs to look like for them to fit well. Mine should be longer at the toes (because there's already a lot of room in front of my toes, and they're already long!) and narrower everywhere except for the big toe, which should be wider. This point between the thumb and forefinger also seems to be too far back. The insole is quite long - slightly in front of my toes and behind the heel. I would like it smaller in front of my toes so I don't trip, but I can't get my foot higher with the toe strap where it is now. I just don't understand why the first strap I mentioned is so tight and so far back. It feels like he's trying to narrow the space between his toes. I also agree with other users that the straps are also rough and the leather is uncomfortable to sit on. I'm really disappointed that they don't work for me - like I said, I had high expectations and love the look. I've heard a lot about Tevas but judging by the other reviews it looks like things have gone downhill. If they re-launch this style in a better cut I will definitely try another pair.
