Review on Enhance Performance and Life of Soapstone Woodstoves with StoneGard Stove Top Thermometer (3-26) by Christine Sanchez

I'm not giving 4 stars out of 5 for the functionality or performance but for the price and thought I'd give it a try to see if it worked better. It REALLY registers temperature changes noticeably faster (because I think it doesn't have a magnet [heatsink] on the back. I haven't decided yet if I really care about that. My stove is in a dark place and I like the dial Der Style of this thermometer is better than my other thermometers (small white display and contrast areas are very easy to read.) But in the end they all measure the same temperature. And the other two were over $10 cheaper than this one. Will definitely keep. I always have at least 2 to back up and confirm, there's no reason I can't have a 3rd It's important to (a) maintain the minimum operating temperature and (b) not overheat the oven.
