No walkie talkie function, good if only music streaming

Bad: 1) If you want to communicate with other riders through this helmet, look elsewhere. First, they don't connect via Bluetooth. You must have a cell phone. My wife and I both have iPhones and the only time we can talk to each other is when we are about 10 feet apart. Even then, there's about a 10-second lag when it actually works. My daughter has an iPhone with no cellular service, and while we can create an account using an email address, she cannot be part of a chat group, so she cannot use the walkie-talkie feature at all. As this is the main reason I bought the helmet, I rate it poorly for these reasons. Since the return window is only 30 days, I didn't have time to use the helmet with others to test the walkie-talkie functionality. It didn't work after the first use but we wanted to do some research and make sure we tried it a few times before going back. Obviously very disappointed. 2) The turn signal works, but only flashes about 3-4 seconds after pressing the button, which is not enough to signal far enough ahead without having to press the button several times. Also, the light is very dim during the day and practically useless unless driving at dusk or later. Pros: The helmet is lightweight but feels well made. If you only want to use it for music streaming, the speaker is decent and loud enough. The helmet is also quite comfortable. Luckily I bought it on Prime Day so I only paid 69.99. If I paid the current price of 99.99 I would feel cheated. At 69.99 this is a decent deal for a comfortable helmet with built in speakers and the only benefit I could get from these helmets.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Could have chosen a newer model
