We installed them in our bathroom while it was being renovated. It was the best we could do. They are also a safety net for non-disabled people, even those who have a mild problem with dizziness when getting out of the shower or getting up from the toilet. Ours are built on pine slabs, they are strong and prevent us from slipping, which is the main reason for hospitalizations of the elderly. They come in different sizes so I just bought different sizes without knowing what I really need. The reenactors just placed them where they thought would be best. My husband has a seizure disorder and a lot of people fall in the bathroom and they are strong enough for him to grab them without falling to the floor. Good product, no complaints.
