I bought a Sabrent 1TB drive without a heatsink and later learned that you MUST have a cooling unit if you want to use it in PCI-E 4.0. So far it has been very easy to install. The instructions were clear and concise, easy to follow. It's solidly built, much heavier than I expected. I believe that not only pipes are made of copper, but also aluminum for heat dissipation. Works well so far with no problems. Look at the photos to see the size and the area I had to trim the backplate (slightly visible - haven't painted the exposed metal of the backplate yet). The photos were taken during the assembly of the machine. Note. I've used this on a Gigabyte x570 m-itx board that has a motherboard backplate (I wasn't aware of this when I bought it). It did NOT fit the M.2 slot on the back. I had to trim the back panel and it's still a bit tight. Paired with the NZXT h200i, the spacing at the back is just perfect. Exactly what I needed.
