I have been using this air purifier since July 1st. no problem to place next to a wall or in a corner. It has definitely reduced my dust allergies significantly and made my home more comfortable. I prefer not to turn this on when I have windows open for a while (just seems like a waste of time). QUIET at the lowest settings but still effective and good for those who like LITTLE white noise. The sound gets louder with each parameter, but that doesn't bother me at all personally. The automatic setting works great when cooking to counteract odors. I love the ease of use, the size of the device blends in well with the rest of the room and the handle also comes in handy when I want to move the device to a new location. I find it easy too, but that's up to you. Some reviews also note the smell of plastic. I remember a slightly sterile smell when I first turned it on and I was worried it would be permanent, but I gave it a week and haven't noticed it since. Some users may not have removed the plastic wrap from the filter before turning on the device. Blue light doesn't bother me personally at night. UPDATE August 2017: Everything I said stays the same and I'm so happy! I accidentally sent this air purifier through hell (accidentally turned it on while gluing kitchen countertops (no pets in house) and other construction and painting jobs) and the HEPA filter light came on about 2 months to a full year. Mark. Not bad! The charcoal filter is replaced about once a quarter, so make sure you have spares on hand. Unless I had a HEPA substitute on hand, the air was noticeably stuffier and not as fresh.
