Here are my pros: Good looks, not black. Removable bowl for cleaning. One button control. Cable storage in base. I think the motor is more powerful than others. I got it mainly for grinding spices. I made this decision because I couldn't get good results grinding a cinnamon stick in a mortar and pestle. Haven't tried it yet, but threshed black peppercorns. The degree of grinding becomes finer and finer (keep the button pressed). I overdid it a bit but am still happy with the lovely peppers in our shaker. Next time I'll stop grinding sooner. Based on the pepper test, I believe this device can handle cinnamon and nutmeg as well.
