Review on AMIGO AMI20014 Playin' Possum by Tony Guernsey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A fast, fun, no-read game for 10 people!

I ordered Playin' Possum to add to our collection of games to play with 6 and 8 year olds and many older grandchildren. I have to admit that the first thing that caught my eye was the packaging. Garbage can? So funny! I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun this simple game is! And no reading is required to play, so younger kids can play too. Bonus: There are card packs that can be played by up to ten people! So the game consists of the aforementioned ten sets of three cards each, one each for Steal, Choose Blame, and Don't Fear. There are also 25 trash cards and 4 memory cards. At the start of the game, each player chooses one of their 3 cards and places them face down on the table. The players who chose the blame card then turn it over and point to the person they accuse of stealing the trash. (These are the ones who put their theft card on the table.) If your accusation is correct, you can take the trash card out of the trash can. The thief is out of the game. A false accusation takes the accuser out of the game. Either the last Possom standing or the first to collect three garbage cards wins. Pretty easy, right? But it's really great fun! I really like how compact the game is because it's easy to take with you. The trash can lid doesn't close, but I've coated the rim with poster putty and it holds up pretty well. My kids love this fun game!
