I've been riding this board for about 2 months and I love it. It's no better than your standard maple 7-ply skating, but it's no worse either. It looks like the standard wood you are used to. The main difference is durability. Before riding this maple board deck I had enough for 1-3 weeks. I ride mostly on low impact outdoor trails. The nose and tail seemed to hold their shape longer. As usual, I didn't get any chips. The only thing I don't like is that it's not my favorite shape. Now that doesn't mean it doesn't suit you well. The tail is quite pointed, making it easy to grab. The nose, on the other hand, is steeper and rounder. I prefer the tail to be rounded and very nosey. I also prefer softer concaves.
