I bought the ASUS Lyra Trio in July this year and have been using it for five months now. Bottom line, with all the issues, I can't recommend this product. I bought the Lyra Trio because our apartment has three levels and my Net Gear router didn't provide good coverage on the lower level. The Lyra Trio offers decent seamless coverage but has a few issues. Pros: Installation was relatively easy. Once the base router was installed, it was easy to add two more routers using the Lyra Trio phone app. The only issue was that the base router updated to the latest firmware right away, but the other two routers required a bit of work to update the firmware to the latest version. The transition between different routers is smooth as we move between floors. Performance is also good, with no loss when transitioning from the base router to one of the remote routers. The LED color scheme allows you to quickly view the status of your router(s). Cons: The biggest problem and the reason for the poor performance. It is estimated that the system is disconnected from the ISP's modem every four to seven days. The only solution to this problem is to unplug the core router, wait 10-15 seconds, and then plug power back into the core router. After restoring the base router, I reboot the two remote routers from the phone app. I have updated all routers to the latest firmware and the problem persists as noted by others in their reviews. The Lyra Trio phone app (Android in my case) is still buggy despite being updated several times in the last five months. An example is that it takes several attempts to determine the current firmware version of routers. In summary, I feel like I spent a lot of money on this product and ASUS cannot fix the disconnecting issue even after three or four firmware updates in the last five months.
