Suitable for extending Wi-Fi coverage in medium/large homes at a reasonable price. Has several disadvantages.

I bought the Lyra Trio to extend the range of my 5,000 square foot two story home with a basement. I have an Asus RT-AX88U Wifi 6 router which is not enough. At $260 for a mesh wifi system 5 out of 3 units it's a reasonable price, good for home use but not perfect. Advantages: - Each device can be both a router and a satellite node. You can separate blocks for different subnets if you like. With multiple devices, you can have different devices performing different functions on differentโ€ฆ

TL; DR receive a copper (Ethernet) backhaul.

This product has many flaws but I give it five stars because I can't think of a better consumer product at this price point. I live in a long, narrow 6,000 square foot house that I couldn't even come close to covering with even the additional router and WAP combo provided by the ISP. The main router for the house is at the other end. More on that later. I played around with the settings and was very disappointed with throughput, latency and network reliability, especially on the far end (3rdโ€ฆ

Poor performance with weekly power cuts

I bought the ASUS Lyra Trio in July this year and have been using it for five months now. Bottom line, with all the issues, I can't recommend this product. I bought the Lyra Trio because our apartment has three levels and my Net Gear router didn't provide good coverage on the lower level. The Lyra Trio offers decent seamless coverage but has a few issues. Pros: Installation was relatively easy. Once the base router was installed, it was easy to add two more routers using the Lyra Trio phoneโ€ฆ

Unreliable connection

Tried despite the reviews - waste of time. Setup was easy. Type. To connect them to the AC 5300 I had to update the firmware. To update the firmware you need to use a separate app (Asus Lyra). When the firmware was up to date, everything connected without any problems. The signal throughout the house was excellent! But the connected devices kept losing their internet connection for some reason. You can restart your computer and it will improve for a while, but then it will keep happening. Also,
