Review on 🍻 Copper Umbra Drinking Buddy Bottle Opener by Sarah Phillips

At first glance this is an attractive thing and when you get your hands on it you'll find that it has a lot of weight and feels good in your hand. There is a faint unpolished mold line between the head and the hand, but the rest is well polished. I was sure he could handle a simple bottle cap with ease, wasn't he? Not right. This drinking buddy falls open-mouthed at the critical moment when he has to do his job. For easy movement, this particular opener requires tedious repositioning around the lid to avoid a bent non-removable lid (see image). Of course he looks great and will end up pouring you a beer, but as a "drinking buddy" it's not that easy to drink with him. Update: I saved this poor guy from going back to camp and had him fall on cocktail napkins. After living together for a while, he seems to have found his true calling. No longer burdened by the bottle, he manages to make himself useful and make a living. I let him sleep on my high pile and he will visit my bar patrons now and then. Depending on the night, he can prove me wrong by opening the bottle, but I don't expect that from him anymore. Best of all, he does his new job in his sleep and looks good at the same time. good for him
