I ordered these to primarily cut and trim shrub branches and I’m fully satisfied with their performance in that task. They are sharp and cut shrubs effortlessly. The blades go easily through the shrub branches without the need to apply a lot of pressure. I also tried them on a tree branches with a diameter of approximately 3/4” and they did work, although putting a higher pressure was required on my part. The handles are comfortable and fit well in my hands, and my husband’s larger hands. I really like that there is a lock, which allows keeping these shears in a closed position for safety. The packaging makes these shears look a little bit cheap, so I wouldn’t necessarily recommend them as a gift, but they work really well for light to medium gardening.
