We had a watch for 32 years that eventually the digital battery mechanism failed. With a full description including the length of the hour, minute and second hands, it was easy to make sure it matched our old watch. Before installing, I assembled the mechanism with my hands and a battery to see if it worked. When this was proven, I set the clock within a few minutes. For everyone: BEFORE you decide to discard the bad block and all of its components, save them UNTIL you're done. I was able to use the hour and minute hands from my original watch BUT the missing hour nut on the new unit was easily replaced with the nut on my original watch. What was interesting was that I couldn't reuse the old second hand with this new component. Good product that should last for years.
