I have wide feet and have worn Clarks shoes for many years. I've never had a pair that wasn't comfortable. I work in an office where business attire is the norm. I bought these to help with a knee problem that my shoes contributed to. I needed more cushioning day by day. They look good enough that I can wear them with a coat and tie without raising my eyebrows. I've been wearing them for two days now. They fit as expected, I wear 10W in other Clarks and they fit true to size. They are well padded but I could use a little more arch support. It's probably my particular foot that's talking and not the slap on the boot at all. I bought these so I don't have to change my running shoes when I go for my daily walk at break. one and only. The soles are some kind of cheap foam that wears out sooooo fast! Wears easily under the balls of your toes and heels after moderate use. Now I see any Clarks shoe with a sole like that as worthless. I hate returning them because they are so comfortable but the quality is not at all what I expected from Clarks.
