Installed Maestro SW on a 2017 Subaru Outback Premium that did not have a Harmon Kardon radio. I used a Kenwood DMX4707s radio and a pre-built wiring harness from AutoHarnessHouse. The wiring wasn't too complicated, but I made a mistake. I connected the blue "Amp On" wire to the blue wire of the 21-pin AHH harness, which caused the Subaru computer (CAMBUS) "Do Not Start" circuit to fire, allowing the car and the radio didn't turn on didn't work. After I disconnected the Amp-On cable from the 21-pin connector, everything worked as it should. And the Subaru dashboard error codes are gone. So the lesson I learned is that by default you don't connect wires of the same color. Just because two or more wires are the same color doesn't necessarily mean they're all connected. The Maestro works great and I haven't lost a single steering wheel function. Now I have Carplay and reliable maps!
