Tough, Affordable, Lightweight

These blown plastic cases are amazing. I have several different sizes to hold my camera gear. They come with no elements inside - no molds - just an open face. I line them with 1/2" white polythene foam and form compartments by attaching the foam to itself and the body with hot melt which is about the only thing that sticks to the polythene. The only downside is that they become awkward in transit are so slippery stacked on top of each other in the car that they just can't stay stacked.I solved this problem by buying a sheet of 24" 1/8" very grippy neoprene rubber from Shop Fox on Revain that absorbs vibration I also bought a small roll of 3M VHB (Very High Bond) double sided tape.(1- 1/2" wide x 9' long) I attached duct tape to one end of the neoprene sheet and cut open the 1 1/2" elastic This gave me a 24 x 1-1/2" piece of rubber I cut into 1-1/2" squares and attached four of these to the bottom of each drawer. Now they really stick to the surface it's sitting on , and to each other when folded. They have no shoulder straps n or accessories - just a folding handle Lid locks are flexible polyethylene that holds securely The loop is a type of hidden pin, not an elaborate molding that can wear out and fail .Small molding approx 3/16" hole for on spring lock.
