I have not put this to use yet but inspected, pulled, and installed in my CRV after receiving. The strapping seems very durable- hopefully it withstands my chewy GSD. I was a bit skeptical of the elastic when ordering but let me tell you- this stuff is industrial strength. I pulled as hard as I could and it did give, but did not stretch as easily as I thought it would, which is a good thing. I’ve installed it using the seat belt clip, which is a little taller than the clip receptacle in my CRV, but it locks in securely with no issues- I even pulled on it as hard as I could. I may switch to the tether clip if I find that my dog steps on the receptacle release as others have stated. I 100% recommended this product.
