I have clipped them to my dogs collars and harnesses both in the garden and on a late night walk. I used a similar Ruffwear Beacon flashlight, but it got too expensive to replace the $20 flashlight every time it fell in the woods or yard. Since they come in two packs, it was much more convenient to buy multiple sets. I love how easy it is to install and change the batteries, it is very easy to attach to the dog's gear/backpack/belt loop and the performance remains consistent. I love that taking the star off isn't enough because it was mostly my fault, but if you're attaching them to your dog's collar or harness, use the velcro option! I only used one clip and it was pretty easy for the dogs to rub them off when rolling or running through the bushes. However, there have not been any problems with the use of velcro yet! Just wanted to warn other dog owners.
