Review on Contigo 24 oz. Vacuum Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle with Quick-Twist Lid - Licorice by Grant Nordstrom

I love this water bottle

I have many things I look for in a water bottle. Cup holders, no straws, the part that the mouth touches must be closed when closed, the lid must remain closed when open, but not unbalanced so that it keeps falling when almost empty is, the bottom must be flat on the corners rather than rounded so that it doesn't fall over more than half the time when put on. Not long ago I quickly broke a bunch of glass and silicone bottles, so this time I was sort of in the metal market. The Contigo Quick-Twist meets all these requirements and is also nice and light when it's empty! I bought 3 of these, the 2nd was for my husband and the 3rd was a spare. It's still in pretty good condition after the last 3 months of daily wear and use. I've dropped it a few times so it's a little scratched and dented on the undersides but it doesn't affect how it sits flat and nothing has fallen apart. The silicone grip has a small tear on the inside of the loop and may come loose over time, but I can say the tear is due to me wriggling and stretching it weirdly, and not just carrying it around. it was not progressing. Minus one - I open with two hands. One to hold the bottle and the other to twist and open it, although I can pin it to my body with my elbow or between my thighs in a pinch. When the bottle is full it will take some force to open it, but that's common with bottles with silicone tops. I also had trouble opening it to get the paper out and cleaning it well the first time. I have weak hands, folks.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled
