The glass is similar and has the weight of crystal. It's really immaculate and tasteful. You can only reduce the price of a gift box by trying to wrap it. The outside of the box is truly gorgeous and the inside is satin that caressed the hourglass in such a delicious presentation pillow. I would only put it in my pocket if I had a big card. The sand is exactly the same color as in the picture. I would almost describe it as a soft pink. I made a gift for my sorority sister for her 50th birthday. Pink is one of our colors. It really blew away all the presents at the party. she exclaimed.
