Until I use the kettle more my rating will be pretty average. The design is definitely interesting and attractive, although I'm not sure how the construction will hold up yet. The lid is very thin and the hinges don't seem to be completely closed. Also the place where the gooseneck connects to the body shows some discoloration spots where the overlapping materials meet. I'm assuming it's just the design, but in my experience with other brands, it's usually the weak point that starts to leak. All that said, these are just observations and I look forward to seeing how these things hold up over time. I have several other Coffee Gator products and am very happy with them so I should try this new kettle.
