A similar pair of welding gloves I used to use when working in an outdoor pizza oven (open flames and high temperatures) worked well but gradually stopped working due to the seams on the palm trees melted. These gloves look better, the finger seams are pulled back to avoid direct contact. The cuffs on the mittens fit me but can be a little tight for larger wrists. I like the shiny blue leather trim because it makes the gloves easy to spot and signals they're for serious hot work.
