I was gifted a used "fire pit" recently and put it into action when the grandkids visited for S'mores night. I hadn't even stopped to consider that the heat coming off it was going to kill the grass beneath.oops. I was anxious to try this mat when I first saw it on Revain, seriously I didn't know they existed! I will have to give it a couple more nights by the fire to give it my solid stamp of approval but so far.man! I love it.We gave it it's inaugural spin the night it arrived on my porch. So far, no sign of heat damage in my yard! That's great but, now with the weather FINALLY starting to resemble Fall (and football weather!) I'm sure I will have the opportunity to give it a couple more tryouts in the coming weekends. Overall, great and suitable size, extremely easy to use, and the bonus of coming in a pretty useful storage bag.
